customer project Taste for Audio

The assignment

"I'm not a trader, I'm an entrepreneur," says Samuel. "Therefore, in addition to selling on Marktplaats, I wanted a good webshop that exudes confidence. I did extensive research on which platform would work best and then made a list of ten webshop builders that appealed to me," says Samuel. "I was looking for a company that was affordable but not standard."

"Then I narrowed it down to three companies and tied the knot. I called Rosanne and was immediately excited. She is super good at communication, is clear and listens well. She asked critical questions about things I hadn't immediately thought of myself. And they also indicate very well what is part of the offer and what is not, so what you still have to do yourself."

"Buro Staal is really super good at communication. Rosanne thinks along as an entrepreneur and Tim and Rick are technically strong and like to get down to business."

The situation

Taste for Audio was registered with the Chamber of Commerce in 2021. In 2023, Samuel leased his first building. Now there is a showroom and storage in one. This growth, combined with his plans for the future, created the need for a professional webshop.

"I sell high-end products and the shop had to radiate that. Even though even the big audio dealers sell through Marktplaats, that doesn't radiate at all what I stand for, which is quality and durability. And I want people to know that I am a reliable entrepreneur. I'm also quite ambitious."

the purpose

"With Marketplace, by the way, you can't go international either. Now you can. I also translated the webshop directly into English. Because of that you do have to duplicate everything, but I already get mostly purchases from abroad. In the future I will also sell to America. Dutch customers usually look in the webshop first and then come to the showroom."

Another good reason to have your own Web shop created is that you can start working with gift cards, marketing becomes easier and you don't have to depend on other platforms. "Marketplace changes its policy quite often," Samuel explains. "I don't want to be dependent on that. Now I can draw my own plan much more."

THE approach

"The communication was very pleasant, with Rosanne but also with Tim and Rick. They clearly indicated what needed to be done, in what order and who was going to pick it up. Everyone at Buro Staal has their own expertise, their own input. If I sent Tim a list of points he had everything fixed in no time."

We mainly used e-mail to communicate in this case, combined with Excel lists on which we could check off everything. Occasional phone calls and that's how we delivered the entire shop in 5 months.

"Actually, it was supposed to go online a month earlier, but we had quite a list of things to take care of. Really lay with me. And because he is bilingual we had to do everything twice. I also wanted to have the blogs up and running at launch. So I didn't make it easy on myself. Anyway, I never do that."

THE result

At the time of writing, the webshop has just been up and running for a month. So it is still a bit difficult to talk about results. In any case, Samuel himself is very satisfied.
Although Samuel gets all the space he needs to tell us what didn't go so well, he can't really think of anything. "I'm really a perfectionist. Everything is exactly the way I want it. We're still going to fine tune, of course. I have a lot of plans for the future of this company and you are all going to see that reflected on the site."
We are super proud that Samuel is so happy with the result. There were even two cakes delivered after completion! We love that.
We wish Samuel lots of success with his beautiful company and would love to stay involved.
