customer project Air So Pure
A flexible, fresh website that totally fits our rebranding
A flexible, fresh website that totally matches our rebranding. That was the wish of Air So Pure. Members of the eponymous growers' association produce highly air-purifying plants.
Air So Pure wants to inform garden centers, wholesalers and consumers with a good site that is also easy and quick to maintain. We sat down to discuss our collaboration.
The assignment
"At the first meeting Rosanne already asked a lot of questions to get to what we really wanted. I found it quite exciting that Buro Staal only works with WordPress, because that is open source and I did not know if I wanted that. Rosanne showed me, based on practical examples, that you can lock a lot of functionalities, so that others can't change anything. That appealed to me."
Fortunately, we were able to quickly overcome doubts and objections. The speed and ease of use of the new site was very important.
"My main concern was a pragmatic, fast website. Buro Staal is really a practical agency. And they themselves are constantly working on challenges and developments. They also help organize WordCamps [see box below] and so on. So you know you're in the right place there in terms of knowledge and experience. With an agency that works with a closed, proprietary CMS you are always dependent on them and I do not have that feeling with Buro Staal."
"Our website is our landing place. People can find answers to their questions there. It's really for online information. We have to move with the times."

The situation
"Within the B2B and B2C sector for air-purifying plants, we are a well-known name. We need to have a neat website that allows us to inform well. We did have a site, but it no longer met our demand."
The design and technology of the previous site were outdated. In terms of speed and flexibility, it could not keep up with Air So Pure's needs. Linking with news and socials was also not going well.
"In 2021/2022, we had done a rebranding with a company from Rotterdam, and that needed a new website. I think it's important for us in the office to be able to do things we're good at and waste as little time as possible on peripheral issues."
Air So Pure knew Rosanne from her days as a salesperson in the ornamental plant industry. "I did see a message from her passing by on LinkedIn. We were looking for a technically strong party with practical knowledge of our sector. I knew I was in the right place with Buro Staal."
the purpose
Air So Pure is a large association. They do not do business with the site, but primarily want to inform. And an environment that looks attractive to consumers.
THE approach
After the initial meeting with Rosanne, and signing off on the collaboration, Tim took over. "It was a matter of getting everything to Tim as quickly as possible: the starting point document for the new corporate identity, the photos, fonts, etc. Tim went at it like a rocket."
We made designs of various pages based on the new corporate identity as quickly as possible. These quickly went to Air So Pure for approval and adjustment. The last week of January was an important time for Air So Pure, because they were going to be at a big trade show in Germany to present the new branding. So we worked hard toward going live. The style at the fair and the online branding had to match.
"You have a picture in advance of where you want to go. What made it difficult for me was that I was alone in the office after the rebranding. Finding time was sometimes difficult. Now, fortunately, I have a new colleague. She knows a lot about websites and the whole online thing and picks up well."
the result
"We are very satisfied with the result. It corresponds well to our request. There really is something beautiful now. We are now working on a customer portal with a closed login for our customers. This is still under development but will be very useful. We are just still figuring out how and what. Then we can work and plan much further ahead with our members and customers, for example. But keeping it up to date on the site itself."
"The cooperation with Buro Staal was very pleasant and fast. Tim sometimes had to wait for us due to the busyness and complexity of the rebranding instead of the other way around. But when we could make another move it went very quickly. Working on a new site is cool, but sometimes you forget that everything else goes on as well."
"Fortunately, we spend very little time keeping up. We can easily tinker with the content; adjust a translation or replace an image, I mean. The rest we don't touch. Tim did a good job of explaining where everything is and how to adjust it. Now it's up to us to fill the news items and share them on the socials so that even more people will look at the site. And then on the store locator. We'll get back to it soon."
