client project Quiz Brothers

The situation

The three brothers Jan, Cies and Joachim Duijndam had been fans of pub quizzes for years. Their only regret was that those quizzes were often too difficult and therefore not always enjoyable for everyone. So they convinced a pub owner to allow them to organize a quiz night there. That became a great success and so Quiz Brothers was born. When the corona crisis forced the pubs to close, they started organizing online quizzes. This proved popular and almost a year later it is still going well. By now you can even order do-it-yourself quiz packages and music bingo packages. Actually, they had a new website on their wish list for some time. They just didn't get around to it.

Meanwhile, it was high time to automate some workflows. On the one hand, that would make the site even more user-friendly and, on the other, save the team a lot of manual work.

Jan Duijndam, who is responsible for all peripheral affairs within Quiz Brothers, had known Rosanne and Annemieke for years. They got to know each other through BNI and then met regularly at pub quizzes. A few months ago we interviewed him for the Staal Magazine. What? Did you miss it? Read the article here.

Jan contacted one other party when choosing an agency. He chose Buro Staal because it had clicked for some time and because he heard many positive stories from his network.

The goal

Also with the new website, Jan wanted above all to inform all interested parties about what the company did and could do for them. In addition, he wanted it to be easier for potential customers to show interest. Moreover, he wanted to automate the sales process of DIY quiz and music bingo packages as much as possible. There was actually too much manual work involved in this, so the margin relative to the effort was a bit out of balance.

THE approach

Based on Jans wishes, we made a first draft. Based on his feedback, we made some adjustments to this. After that, we quickly got to work filling content, the WooCommerce product pages and linking the payment provider Mollie.

Because all DIY packages are semi custom, it was important that buyers could specify when they needed the packages by the latest. We built this into the web shop as an extra feature.

THE result

Quiz Brothers' website went live in early November 2020. People know how to find the site well. Meanwhile, the team is flooded with inquiries through the website. Both the number of leads and sales have increased by about 25%. The company also receives a lot of positive feedback from its network. Even from competitors.

Because Jan actively maintains the website himself, he was also very happy with the customized video tutorial. This allowed him to quickly make adjustments himself. And when he nevertheless got stuck once, we had him back on track in no time under the 30-day VIP service.

Jan: "Of course, a new website is a big investment. But Buro Staal is really good at custom websites that help you reach your goal. And with this growth in requests and turnover, I expect to recoup that investment quickly."
